Re: Hampton\'s Lunch Cruise (Long Island, NY) July 31st

OK everybody, the weather in the Hampton's is calling for partly cloudy with a high of 79 degrees. I'm bringing the wife and can't wait to see the look on her face after 1 1/2 hours of driving with the new Belanger headers and exhaust (full-race)!

I said in my original post that I would try to bring something out to raffle off so here it is:

A brand-new ALPINE CDA-9827 FM/AM/Satellite-ready/CD Receiver. It has an MSRP of $300.00 and here is the list of features right off the ALPINE website;

Key Features
• 50W MAX x 4 High Power Amplifier
• Bass Engine®
- Subwoofer Level Control
- Bass Center Frequency Control
- Bass Band Width Adjustment
- Treble Center Frequency Control
- Bass Type Control
• MediaXpander™
• SAT Radio Ready
• MP3, WMA, CD-R/RW Playback
• CD Text and MP3/WMA Tag Information Display
• Quick Search Function (MP3/WMA Files and SAT Radio)
• CD Text, CD Text Display, CD Text Scroll
• 2 Color Display
• Versatile-Link™ Ready
• MaxTune Tuner
• BlackOut Display
• Regulated 1Bit DAC
• 3 PreOuts (4 V PreOut)
• iPod™ Interface Ready (KCA-420i)
• MM Driver (Hard Disc Drive) Ready
• MobileHub™ Ready
• RUE-4187 Wireless Remote Control Included

Bass Engine features with MediaXpander let you tune the music exactly to your taste. You can play MP3 and WMA CDs, and operation is easy with Quick Search keys and a rotary encoder. Versatile Link for system building can be added and a wireless remote control is included.

This unit is SAT Radio Ready, giving you a much greater choice of listening options than ordinary local AM/FM radio. You can select from among a wide range of music genres, news, sports, and talk programs with digital quality, coast to coast.

About Sat Radio Ready:

You can choose between Sirius Satellite Radio or XM Satellite Radio. SAT Radio Ready units require optional receiver box, antenna, adaptor cables, and subscription for service. To find out more about subscribing or available channels visit http://www.sirius.com or http://www.xmradio.com

--> So I hope this gives everyone an even bigger incentive to come out and join us. I have 60 raffle tickets waiting, as I figured the right thing to do would be one ticket for every Viper brought! If we get 60 cars out there I think it'll cause an earthquake!

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. I will be meeting up at the Dix Hills Rest Stop b/t 51 & 52 on the LIE. See you there!

This was a great event. Fun ride. I had to erase the code 3 times on the ride so I guess I need a new O2 sensor.

A special thanks to Scott (and all those responsible) for setting up a great event.

Take a look at the picture of the Prowler, see what's hanging
off the license plate ~ NEED I say more??

Let me tell you about this table, well on second thought I'll just say: "Scott we need to talk about your wardrobe!" HeHe ;)

Here's some more of the same:

The day's auspicious start at 8:30 AM. No, that's not photoshopped  ! That's the Gulf station on the FDR & 23rd Street for "full service". I guess they do much more than just pump your gas and clean your windows!!! 50 cents a gallon less for self serve.

Re: Hampton\'s Lunch Cruise (Long Island, NY) July 31st

I want to thank everyone for helping me get really, really bad gas mileage today. Kidding aside, I want to thank all of those members that reached in their pocket and bought a raffle from me even though they knew I lied profusely about the horsepower gains the vipeair would give them. Ted Zdus won the raffle and decided that he wasn't able to utilize the vipeair system so he was nice enough to give it back to us to raffle off again for the future events. Thanks again Ted.

Viper Wizard is still fast, don't mess with him or you will be surprised by that 94 R/T. I have 3:55 gears, modified intake and exhaust and thought I could pull away from him in fourth from a 65 mph roll...NOT Happening, he pulled on me. Went down to 3rd from another 65 roll with him and stayed neck and neck till 80 until traffic came up. Wizards car runs real nice. Great seeing everybody again you are all becomming family, its just like the damn Olive Garden!
