Just another option. I have a Valentine 1 for my vette but my Viper came with a remote mounted Passport SR7. Really cool because the there are two detectors mounted inside the front grill and one on the rear license plate with the control module on top of the steering column. Completely built in so no wires, no other drivers can see it, always on when the key is on. I highly recommend it. If Valentine ever come out with the remote mount version, will get that as well.

Um, like years ago.

Um, no. I have their "concealed display". That's not what I'm talking about The remote refers to the actual radar sensors being remote, not the control unit. You mount the remote sensors on the rear and front of the car which allows you to hardwire the control unit and place it anywhere you want. This is beneficial for a lot of reasons mainly because the reception is superior.
