I now own 2 sets of rims. Each set is stock finish. I would like to refinish one set for "Show" to go with the XGT stock tires. Has anyone done this? Is it a simple job for a local autobody paint shop? Or does it require something (someone) more specialized? I have never had to do anything like this before and could use some advice. Would like to keep it local to avoid shipping charges, if possible. Thanks!

Tree spoke rims? i bet wooden rims would look great. throw the old english oil on it. Some nice spar varnish. Like furniture for your viper!!! Just make sure to take the leaves off!

back to his question-yes pretty easy to refinish as long as the rims are not scratched up now. I would recommend powder coating instead as rims take alot of abuse and paint will chip. If you do chose to paint make sure the shop uses "self-ectching" primer or the paint will not last at all.

I just had my wheels polished for $150-all four. Looks awesome with the ZAF polished aluminum side tips!
