I use the micro fiber but i have to use gloves. The feel of the texture of these makes me cringe (like fingernails on a blackboard) they do work great. After using for wax they no longer are that absorbent.

Do you have to wet a microfiber towel before drying your car like you do with a chamois?

I am curious about this also. I just talked to Sal & he said that the problem with microfibers is that they are made overseas & there is no quality control. He buys straight from manufacturer & if he buys 12, 7 work great, but 5 scratch. He said that he has over 400 microfiber towels in his shop, & the quality from same manufacturers is very inconsistent. He does not recomend them for paint. Great for interior & glass but not on paint until quality becomes consistent.

" If you had a heart problem, would you go overseas for your medicine, or would you buy it here. Use a electric leaf blower, then 100% cotton Fieldcrest or Cannon BATH SIZE towels.( Smaller towels can have polyester in them) " Sal Zaino.

Remember much, if not all, of the airplanes you fly on are made overseas.
Also remember, to each his own. Auto detailers ARE using microfiber.
Quality may be an issue, but a microfiber fiber is still 10 times finer than a silk fiber.
All I, and many others, will use now.

Apparently the ones made in Korea are better than the Chinese ones. If you get the high quality ones you'll be OK.
