Heat extractor hood and washing the car.

Sorry for this newbie question, but I washed the SRT 10 yesterday and I guess it is just a fact of Viper life that water gets in the engine compartment (not on the engine) thru the gills, especially when you open the hood to dry the areas you cannot get to with it closed?

I use a leaf blower here...carefully.

I find it air dries quite well at 140 mph
