I completely lost my pedal once at 100mph when I went for late braking into a bend, scared me silly! (That was with upgraded dot 5 and stock pads) Motul 600 seems to be the fluid to use, and I like the EBC green-stuff pads. (I know Partsrack and Greatbrakes sells them respectively, in the US.)

Brake Pads - we've been experimenting with different stuff - will run EBC Green Stuff on my car and Red Stuff on Henry's car this weekend at Mid Ohio (barring any MORE disasters...) Hope to have full report after we return. We've also used Brakeman #3's successfully.

As for fluid.... Go get Castrol SRF. It is the BEST fluid out there -bar none. The big difference with SRF and the others is the "wet" boiling point. Even after your brake fluid absorbs water, the boiling point is close to where most fluids start! One of our goals at the track is to not have to work on the cars. Castrol SRF lets us not have to bleed brakes every day.

According to the chart in Pegasus racing following are boiling points dry / wet in degree Fahrenheit...

Castrol SRF 590 / 518
AP-600 572 / 284
Motul 600 585 / 421

As you can see they are all pretty close when they are new and dry, but put a few track miles on them and really heat it up and see where the difference is. Its not cheap - $78 per liter, but it won't fail you. Even after a track evewnt, the fluid is still pretty clear and only mildly discolored at the caliper. Its DOT 4 so it is fully compatible with your stock fluid.

Happy stopping.

Try the EBC pads from Greatbrakes.com . I ran the Greens at a track event (made for street use) and they worked great. I'll be trying the Reds at a track event this summer. The Castrol SRF is awesome, but very expensive. I switched to the much cheaper Castrol GT LMA (about $5) and flush is every track event. Haven't boiled it yet. You may also need to get braided stainless steel brake lines.
