Despite the weather conditions here this past weekend, I was able to put some miles on my new Heffner supercharged Viper. This car is such a blast to drive! I now have a permanent smile on my face.
Everywhere I go, I get these amazing stares. The first reaction is usually, "Cool, it's a Viper!" which quickly turns into "Wow, what a vicious sounding exhaust!", which ends up in a dropped-jaw stare followed by the words, "OMG, is that thing supercharged?". If you think you get a lot of attention from these Vipers, try it with a whistling blower on it.
On Saturday, a few of us drove down to Manassas, VA for the BK drive-in car show. As we drove in to find a parking space, the crowd gathered around the car to check it out. Every 1/2 hour or so, someone would ask if I would start it up. As soon as I did, the parking lot would converge around my car and cameras would be clicking--what a sight!
The best part about this whole thing is how well it drives and the power that it puts out at the touch of the pedal. It doesn't feel like a bat out of hell until I want it to. All this on pump gas!
Jason Heffner really deserves a lot of recognition for his ability to create such a solid product (not to mention his excellent customer service). I think he's as proud of my car as I am.
I can't wait to drive it again tomorrow!
