you got that right about welding! I **** at it and also got a nice sun burn from the welding. I will leave it to the proffessionals!

Hey ab, I gotta hand it to you, you're not afraid to try anything. I've enjoyed reading you DIY threads and the trials and tribulations. Confirms for me that I should limit what I'm willing to mess up ( although that has not stopped me from wrenching on my cars).

Say, did you ever consider trying to build a nuclear power plant? How about a garage-shop cold fusion formula?

I have to start somewhere...but in all since I was a kid, I liked to take apart things and see how they work. Yes, Mark...I do crazy things....but I'm sure you got your share of stories!!

I'm getting better..who knows..maybe I'll be a famous Tuner like Doug Levin!

I only attempt things that are minor...like the exhaust.

It may sound like an unlikely source, but the flex pipes like the factory ones are available from JC Whitney.

They're stainless steel and available in dipe diameters from 1.75 to 3 inch. They're on page 195 of the newest catalog (just came in the mail).

The part numbers are 47ZZ1760T for the 2.5 in. price of $52.95 ea., and part number 47ZZ1761A for the 3 in. priced at $66.95 ea.

On the web they're at http://www.jcwhitney.com

If you need the entire pipe with the end that attaches to the manifold and welds to the cat, finding a used one might be your best bet. Good Luck.
