Help? No Brake Lights!

Just noticed that I have no brake lights. Checked bulbs and fuses and they are okay. What may be causing this and how do I check on components such as the brake switch? Is it likely that I could have a broken wire or a bad ground? Are these conditions likely or is it more likely that it is the brake switch?

Almost certainly the switch atop the brake pedal mounting stantion...twist like a pretzel to see it.....braille-method better.

May be fuse.

That switch is a [******] to get at! My switch goes out yearly. I do drive it alot however...
