Help on mufflers for Gen 1 Viper

I have taken off my Cats on my 94 RT 10 and what a difference on heat on the feet. There is none. The car sounds a little bit better and no drone that I have heard about. There is a noticeable increase in power.

I want to go to some different mufflers but I don’t want a bunch more noise. I called Corsica but they have no interest in helping me out with the Gen 1 car. Bottles are out as they are too noisy and will attract too much attention.

Ideally what I need is something that is 5 ½” in OD and certainly no larger than 6” max and nearly the full length of the side sills as I don’t need Cats when most of my time is on the track and the cars are not smog tested up here.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on what is out there and works?

5 1/2" ID? Holy smoke! That would be bigger than an aftermarket Honda muffler!

opnwide - there's nothing out-of-the-ordinary about the OD sizes he listed...

Tim - you may want to look at the Borla XR-1 mufflers. They're high flow and fit nice under the sills:

I have Dynomax Race 6" OD mufflers in my side sills. Mine are 18" - for less noise they make a 24".

Anthony (or anyone else) - can you fit a 24" muffler in the sidesill w/ cats? I have stock cats modified by [******] to 3".

On each side is there room for 2 * 18” mufflers and no CAT’s? Hopefully there would be no drone and not too noisy.
