I have never visited ebay but was told that I might be able to find a crate motor from time to time or a good low mile used Viper motor. I went to ebay and typed in Viper motors and got a bunch of toys. I went to cars, same. How about a clue from some of you that frequent ebay. Where it says search what are the key words to use?
Any help at all
Thanks

Rohn,
You are on the right track. I would put "viper engine" in the search box. Then check the "in title and descriptions" box. This will yield a bunch of results. Click the "highest price" link and that will sort them from highest to lowest price. After that you may have to page through a few pages but that should ensure you dont miss any. Get to the approximate price range and that should do it. You can also add "crate" to the search bar but if the seller did not include that in the description it won't show up, but it could be a good first search.

Becareful sometimes the motors I have seen on there are Gen 1 engines with the Alternator between the intake tubes.

You should set an automatic search on ebay and set a price limit so you don't get a bunch of crappy toys or the car. That way when Ebay finds your engines they will send you an email and you don't have to keep checking.

Do a refined search - link below the item desciption on the home page. Set the minimum price at $100 or so and that will **** out the pages of crap.

I've found that there are all sorts of things that will come up if you just select Viper. There are car alarms and motorcycles named Viper, lots of Viper die cast cars and models too. The selection of "Viper engine" in the title line with a price lower limit as a filter might just be the best.
