These are Baer Eradi Speed 2 piece rotors. I do not like the look of the cracking at all and need to change them asap.
Heres my problem. I realy went out on a limb to purshase the car and funds are rather tight at the moment :(
Ive been looking on ebay USA at replacement Rotors. The prices seem to vary a hell of a lot, theres a company called Quick stop pro who are selling a set of rotors for $345.00 + shipping, theres another company selling R1 Concepts premium rotors for $362.00 or there standard rotors for $246.99
Has anybody had a similar problem with Baer rotors? And what would you guys and Girls out there recommend?

I've got a used pair of stock front rotors sat on the shelf that I don't suppose I will ever use, but they might get you through for a while. I bought them last year for £50 but they're yours if you can use them? :dunno:

Those are worn but will still suffice for the street depending on the thickness. Looks like there is a considerable ridge around the outside. The cracks are a good indicator that they are reaching the end of their life but since they are not cracked all the way to the edge you still have some time to get them replaced.

When they get this bad then they definitely need replaced. Do NOT continue with rotors that are cracked all the way to the edge.

Does Eradispeed cast their rotors with the holes, or are they drilled after casting? The drilling process so typically leads to this kind of cracking. I know JonB sells a set of rotors that's slotted and dimpled (rather than drilled). Same look without the likelihood of cracking. May be too expensive for your present circumstance.

In all honesty, this is normal checking-aging of DRILLED rotors. STILL OK IN STREET USE! If you are on a budget, DONT replace them yet. I would feel OK streeting these. But DO KEEP A WATCHFUL EYE for the cracks migrating hole-to-hole. Or Hole-to-Hub. Or Hole to perimeter. THEN replace em!

This is why for TRACK DRIVEN rotors we do not recommend the 'bling' of drilled rotors, it faciliates the 'checking' as you see in Chucks WELL WORN (Most Worn) photos. Excellnt illustration of a 'used up' rotor....even the slot is worn down to nuttin!

I know this is a 2 year old thread, but nonetheless -

IMO - this is perfectly normal brake wear. If those rotors were on my car, I'd be tracking hard it without a worry in the world. If the radial cracks went from the outermost holes to the extreme O.D. of the disc, I'd take them off in a heartbeat and throw them in the scrap iron bin, or use them for trot line anchors.

My front rotors are looking cracked like that (from track use) although not drilled. I was wondering how long in track days I could expect them to last. (This is the first time I have gotten to this point in a rotor's life on the track.)

I had just about decided to replace them now rather than taking any chances; and then saw your post. Any input on how much track life would be left?

(Not a racer, just an intermediate HPDE guy.)
