Help with Codes on 1997 Viper GTS

Viper just started to run rough and service engine light came on. I pulled the codes and they were
P1488
P1496
P1296
P0107
Any help on what to fix would be great.

It would likely be more productive to include more info on the car...mods, mileage, utilization, recent work done, misadventures, build date, etc. rather than random codes...some of which point to MAP sensor.

How were codes read...generic OBD II reader? A DRB III would likely give more pertinent info.

Car has 30,500 miles, mods are Belanger exhaust headers and exhaust system, smooth tube intake. The last thing done to the car was new spark plugs and replaced a couple o2 sensors. Besides that, the car has been pretty problem free. I also just replaced the map sensor and that seem to have fixed the problem. Going to drive it for a couple of days and see if any new codes come up.

For what it's worth, I carry a low cost code reader I our cars.

Steve-Indy, short of an actual Chrysler unit. What do you recommend for a little deeper dive scan tool for the Gen II? (and Gen V for that matter)

What I referred to as being in all of our cars is the Harbor Freight type..for about $50, it reads and clears OBD II codes. One of my Wife's good friends uses it to clear the codes/limp mode in her Sprinter motorhome...saving her an expensive towing charge while running all over the US.

With all of the layered on electronics in today's vehicles that control engine and automatic transmissions, I find the readers most useful.

While I do have a couple of Actron units that do more, the H.F. "cheapie" gets me home where I could hook up a DRB III or wiTECH ( noting that I have not renewed/upgraded my wiTECH).

Some of the newer units by Actron/Innova/ etc also read/ clear ABS codes, and offer freeze frame for a couple of hundred bucks.

I hope this helps as it needn't be complex or expensive.

P.S. Be SURE any unit you buy is CAN bus capable...for use on later model cars.

Online, I found a mini ODB II unit with USB. You can leave it plugged in, as it has on/off switch. These are compatible with various Android apps and cost around $18.

BTW, typically, these come from Taiwan, Hong Kong or the mainland PRC, so don't load the software. It is infected with various viruses and you don't need it--there are many nice Addroid ODBII apps to choose from.
