The sad part about the whole thing is that there are still people that think John played a role..other than bull$hit artist...in ANY of the cars that have appeared in the magazines.
Give credit to his "worker men"....and the list is long. The guys in the shop made the cars happen, not John. I applaud those like Doug, Tom, Bill/Wayne, Sean, etc in this business...they are involved in some capacity with the construction of the car....and that sets them apart from the Callaways, Hennesseys, Saleens, et al of the world.

You know, it's real easy for folks to say "hey, I am the guy that made it happen, the other people just sat there and took the credit".
It takes more than knowledge of tuning to run a tuner business. JPH may not be a very good hands-on worker, and he may or may not be a bad person, depending on your views, but he DID have the skill and know-how to put the right people together, and do the right things to run a successful company. There are a MILLION talented people out there who don't necessarily become rich and famous, because it takes alot more than just talent to succeed.
I think this particular criticism being layed on the guy is misdirected. You think Bill Gates sits at his desk and writes software all day?
