I checked my post on the poll this morning, and it was actually modified/edited by one of the moderators.... the links were CHANGED to make the system not work.... I guess its possible that someone got my password and changed the post... but it really doesn't look like thats what happened....

if what I put up is not welcome, thats fine.... no hard feelings, I won't do it again..... maybe a poll on something less controversial....

but to sabotage my post and make it look like I posted something that didn't work????

after I edited the message to fix the changes, the thread was closed....

I will email the moderator the information on the poll, it's really no big deal, but I would rather not diclose the protective measures publicly....

I have spoken verbally with Tony Estes (VCA National President) this morning and WE have decided to make the poll include all the top Viper Tuners....

I have taken down the current poll, and will post a new one with all tuners soon....

If this is something that people are interested in, I will proceed.... if not, I won't take the time to put it together...

please respond to this thread with suggestions and concerns....

Brooks

I am interested in seeing the results of such a poll, as I may be looking to do more serious modifications to my Viper over the next year. The results of such a poll would be valuable in determining where to go.

Here is the fatal flaw in these 'amusement' polls:

Psychologists say, (after scientific-survey, by the way, not a poll) that Americans are 9 times more likley to use their time to complain than to compliment. The inherant bias is heavily toward negative replies.

Any AOL member can now have 5 - 10 e-dresses.......and stuff the ballot box.

Joe,

THANK YOU FOR POSTING A MESSAGE SAYING WHY YOU CLOSED THE OTHER THREAD. I AM SURE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS AFTER READING YOUR EXPLANATION.

Regarding JonB's post, it's true that POed customers are vocal, whereas happy ones are not. BUT, that is going to be true regardless of which tuner they are upset with. I'd venture a guess that Parts Rack has little to worry about since they always get good reviews on here and I believe they are stand up guys (JonB, got the prices on those parts for me yet?). Tuners with less than stellar reputations beware!

Regarding stuffing the ballot box, I guess someone could do that. To be honest, I'd be more worried about certain tuners faking emails and stuffing OTHER people's boxes with negativity than I would be about customers stuffing the ballot boxes. Here's an idea... in order to buy Viper stuff from a tuner, you must own a Viper right? So how about people need to key in the unique part of their VIN when entering praise or a complaint? Not the 1B3ER part, the WV600000 part If someone is going to go to the effort of praising or criticizing a tuner, the least they can do is verify their VIN - not too much to ask, IMO.

Sorry Fikse,

I was the culprit, and made a post explaining why, before I locked it. I'm not opposed, but want to make sure that we confirm the "logic" of the dupe elimination and the summation itself.

I did see some more info on the logic, and it's doing a few things to confirm the "uniqueness" of the vote....but I for one, think that there is definitely some gray area to its' use.
