Problem solved!
I had the car towed to Chuck "The Best" Tator Friday and he solved the problem very quickly. You guys may remember 3 weeks ago my Viper would not start. Someone told me to check the clutch safety switch. So I was down there fooling around w/ the clutch safety switch and I dislodged the clamp on the clutch shaft that holds the switch in place. The clamp fell behind the plastic skirt that runs around the floorboard and carpet on the drivers side. I could not get to it w/out removing the skirt. "To hell w/ it" I said. THAT time it turned out to be a 20 amp fuse, and not the clutch safety switch. I replaced the fuse and she fired right up...but I never went back and re-attached the clutch safety switch clamp that holds the clutch safety switch mechanism in place (I know...*******). So I drove her fine for days...all the while the clutch safety switch is slowly coming loose..until it dislodged last Sunday. I never suspected the clutch safety switch this time, I just checked every single fuse b/c the symptons were exactly the same. Chuck Tator told me it WAS the clutch safety switch, and he asked me if I had been tinkering w/ it b/c it does not dislodge like that on its own....which of course I had been. Chuck put all the pieces back together and she fired right up! Now..I must advise you, the clutch safety switch clamp popped off very easy and I can imagine that during aggressive track driving ones foot may also dislodge it. So if for some reason your Viper does not start, check and see if the clamp holding the clutch safety switch is off, if it is missing, it is probably behind the plastic skirt on the floorboard! TIME TO RIDE!! Thanks guys for all your help!Inerested in knowing what was the resolution ?
