Does anyone belong to that foundation of the [California only?] Highway Patrol? I guess there is a yearly fee and the main thing you gain is a rear license plate holder that is supposed to be like magic when being pulled over.

Anyone??

Thank you,

Rollo

Brad et all-

Looks like $1500 initial, then $350/yr.

--------------

For you SoCal-ers, a couple weeks ago I drove my Viper down there and immediately took it to the end of the 241 Tollroad. Out at Oso Parkway, it is totally uninhabited, and, for $.75, you can get a pretty good 2-3 mile test space back to Antonio Parkway where there are actually cars. I took mine up to 140 m.p.h., but was hesitant because it was at night and I had just got it a week prior.

It would probably work!My problem is two-fold....
First it's like joining the ranks of the "enemy",
secondly you need to display that frame to reap the advantages!
that causes a couple of other problems...that frame
in my area would make my car a "target" for street people who
hate cops! Also I would have to remove my " Porsches for breakfast Ferraris for lunch" frame. Guess I'll continue
on and let the "CHIPS" fall where they may!

Plate bracket reads 11-99 Foundation. Pretty blind. Most won't realize it's a law enforcement related message.

For lifetime membership it's a one-time $1500 deal. An extra grand for spouse.

For annual membership it's $350 to join with $200 annual renewals. Not sure if the license plate frame is included in this one.

11-99 foundation is a charity created to assist the families of officers whose live's were lost in the line of duty.

Is this just a California thing? I just recently got something the mail from the NC police, that for $20 gets you a license frame and a window sticker for $5 extra I believe, thought it'd be worth the investment, but I'd like to have something that "works" in all states.
