I was thinking about painting the Viper hood pad emblem. What needs to be done to prep it? It is a porous material. Does it need to be sealed first? Special paint? I would love to hear from some first hand experience before I try it. Thanks

It is very porous. Just mask it off with masking tape cut around the logo and spray away. I used 5-7 coats of paint to get it looking solid. I didn't use primer but you may want to use some to save paint.

Mine fish eyed very bad and I had to use a fish eye remover. I think that it was because of the oil vapor from the engine.

I agree with GT. just be careful if using a razor to cut out. Use an exacto knife. No need for primer because it would stick.
ALSO, saw your handle and my first thought was I didn't post that message. I tried to get SNKBYT here but said was used so I thought from when I was on a few`yrs `ago. Even my hotmail addy. And RT10 plate. TOOO Funny.
