I may be jumping the gun a bit here (and perhaps tempting fate a bit) but if I get the pay-out from the insurance company that my car deserves, I've narrowed my options of what to do with the money to 2 choices:

1) Build an extension to my house (always a sound investment here), or,

2) Buy a GTS

I know what's sensible and what my heart tells me (clue: they're different!). I suppose I may not get an unbiased opinion on a Viper forum but what the Hell...

I'd be ideally looking for a well set-up supercharger system on a '96 to '98 GTS Thanks in advance!

Are you married? Ask the wife. Do as she says. In a year, use the money you saved from not getting divorced (by not asking) and do whatever option you didnt do this time.

If you're single, go to ******* and ask the hottest girl what impresses her more. Fast cars or big houses. Do as she says. In a year, use the money from her tips to do whatever option you didnt do this time.

I'm a genius. You're welcome.

House??????????????????????????????????? Sure do the house, if your adding a garage or other manly area, but if you aren't driving a VIPER then obviously you must BUY the VIPER then add on to the GARAGE...................I mean the house.Good luck with your decision.

Hmmmmm... thinking that the $$ conversion is good for buying a viper a bit cheaper than a house addition where you live. Perhaps a way to do both?

Build a shop to store the new Viper you just purchased. Just make sure that the shop has living quarters above to satisfy the wife. :D

If putting an extension on the house will improve the quality of living conditions for your family, do that.

Otherwise, get another Viper.

Remember....Family first!

For some people, not having a sports car is not an option unless life requires it. For others, a sports car is an "eh, whatever" kind of toy. Which one are you?

But I agree with John...if you're married, then family first. If both the extension and the Viper are luxuries and it won't cause heartburn to pick the Viper, get the Viper. If you have 3 kids sleeping in one room and the extension would mean they could each have their own room, build the extension.

i would wait on the decision. the housing market is just starting to tank. in 1-2 years you will find builders that are starving will do the job for 40% less. then again, in 1-2 years we could be neck deep in a recession so you could pick up the viper considerably cheaper. either way, you win if you wait. it just ***** to wait ;D
