How can you tell when the A/C refrigerant is getting low in the viper? (Besides your air blowin warm.) Is there a gage you can buy or somehing?
It is the evaporator that is in the enclosed housing ,the condenser sits in front of your radiator and the evaporator can be easily accessed with a sniffer through the drain. And the risk of overcharging a system is mostly to the compressor although its not healthy for the whole system.AB...The person that told you that instead of spending many hours diagnosing your leak lets not and just keep adding freon.Do you do that when your tire leaks..I assure you a competant tech with the proper equipment could correctly diagnose your leak in less than a half an hour. The problem with just occasionally replacing freon as it leaks you are also loosing much needed Pag(synthetic)lubricating oil, adding freon alone does not replace that oil and you will sooner or later be buying another compressor.Your A/C sytem is a closed system and its worst enemy is moisture which enters a system with leaks.I would strongly advise you to remove the bandaid and have your system correctly diagnosed and repairedcondenser leaked .... Viper Tech said he could not get sniffer in there because it is in a enclosed housing.... overchage a system risk blowing expensive a/c lines.... good luck... AB
