How do you know when your syncro\'s are going?

Sometimes when I shift from 1st to 2nd, it feels very notchy. Like it's not synchronizing completely?
My warranty is coming to an end soon, that's why all the questions this morning.

It gets harder to down shift. Sometimes to the point of grinding when you down shift.

Ive been having a problem the last couple weeks, under hard power i cant usually shift into 5th, it usually grinds, its fine if im light on the throttle, i was wondering if my syncro's were going also?

Grinding when shifting into a gear usually means the syncros are getting bad...
