Buried the needle (180 indicated) on my 1995 Gen 1 TNT-built 514 stroker-powered car. Car kept pulling beyond that. Top off, windows installed. On an interstate in AZ. Lost a fog light cover. Blew right over the roof of the 94 RT/10 behind me.
150+ on my stock 95 yellow RT/10
180+ on my 1999 GTS (it was stock then)
All the above on interstates. I doubt I've done anything like that more than 5 times in the past 7 years since I became a track rat. I won't go mega-fast on a highway when there's any traffic around. Unless I'm in the 1990 Turbo Caravan...gotta school the ricers!
155 on back straight at VIR in my 2000 ACR. Has wing and splitter. 445 rwhp, 3.54 gear. On a hot, muggy summer day 147 max. 145 on front straight. This car sees 140+ twice per lap, and has been doing so 7 or so weekends per year for 8.5 years without a single failure ('cept for a minor PS fluid leak this summer - fixed in 5 minutes). What a tank! Best Viper I've had. Hell, the best car I've EVER had.
160+ on back straight at VIR in my stock 2004 SRT-10. Hardtop on. What a sqirrelly car at speed! Simply lift the throttle and feel the ass wiggle...bad.
