How many coats of wax?

I tried therapy but was told I was beyond help...so I just keep on polishing

I don't know how good that wax your using is, it made your Viper look like a truck!

The waxes I use are really good ....

all I could afford was a f150 with a supercharged 5.4 L

me personally, i like liquid glass. im also friends with the owner so take it from where it comes...lol

but he has a few "waxes" that are not listed on the site and they work great.

I use this as well.Seems to work great.

You can't see the difference between 2 coats or 20.... tried it many times. It's the surface prep that makes the difference.

I love to "wax" the wheels, then use a duster on them when dirty. Works great!

I agree with you, I too have a difficult time with anything more than two coats, A bit of a common misconception out there is that you can just keep waxing a surface and the wax will just keep stacking up. We have found that after about two coats, you are at about the limit as to the amount of wax that will stay on the surface. We observed this under a microscope. When trying to "stack" too much on the surface, we found that the polishing cloth takes all but about two layers off the surface.

With wax any more than 2 coats at one time is a waste.

With sealant like Zaino I feel any more than 3 at one time is a waste. I think the perfect regiment for the ultimate shine is Z5p, Z2p, CS and then Z8.

I usually put a coat of Zaino on after every wash like like somebody mentioned it is more because I enjoy doing it not because it was needed.
