Hello All,

I'm looking to take off the sides to expose the exhaust for the first time since I've taken ownership and looking for any how to's that have already been made. From what I understand it's quite simple. I plan to remove them before I go to the exhaust shop to get some work done.

Any pictures/help is appreciated!

Below the rocker panel on the outside is how it's attached to the car. On the inside when you open the door, just remove the small plastic caps to find the remaining screws. It's that simple. :)

When you retighten the screws, make sure you don't overtwist them...they are only metal screws, not bolts. There are a few under the door sill, so you have to pop off the plastic caps once the door is open. There are a few up front, so you need to open the hood as well - and there are a few down below. Then it just slides off sideways. Have somebody help you, that makes it easier.

Super easy, just did this on Sunday for the first time to remove my cats:

All screws require 8mm socket.

1. Open Doors and hood.
2. Use 2 credit cards to pinch the 4 black caps together on the sides, so that they pop out.
3. Remove 4 screws under those black caps.
4. Remove 2 more screws that are now exposed because you opened the hood.
5. Remove 4 screws from underside.
Pull towards you and it'll slide out.

Thank you both! Did you use any jacks when doing this or just left the car on the ground?

The previous owner took pictures of what was under the rocker but I'd like to see for myself and take measurements so I can create my setup.

No need for you to raise the Viper...just leave it on the ground. Use a soft mat to place the side sills on. You don't want to scratch the paint :)
