How to tighten shift knob?

Did a search but I am still not very clear. I noticed my stock shift knob is a little loose on my 97. How can I tighten it? Thanks in advance

If it's the same as the gen 1 shift knob it screws on. I think mine took a 17 mm & 19 mm wrench to tighten. You can push the boot down, then use one wrench on the knob and one on the shaft below it to tighten it.

Agree with Stretch...just don't let the wrenches slip as it's easy to hit one's self in the head !!

Did Stretch hit him himself in the head after you told him how to do it, and now you feel the need to warn people?
