Hey all,
I recently picked up a used RT which is still under an extended DC warranty. The seller misplaced his paperwork, but the dealership he bought it from confirmed that the car is under warranty, and a quick check via the DC computer proves it; I was able to obtain the contract # and plan code.
Now, here's the fun part... It appears that the finance guys at the dealership are the ones who take care of warranty sales/transfers. They tell me that there is a special form which needs to be filled out by buyer and seller to transfer the warranty, to ensure that the seller doesn't prematurely cancel. However, no one has the form; they only have one that is marked "SAMPLE", and I'm told it's useless because of the marking. I've called the DC warranty number daily, but always get a message to call back during normal business hours, even though I am calling during normal business hours...
So how can I get this transfer taken care of? Where can I get this magical form? And who do I need to give it to?
Thanks for any help!
