For those that are installing or updating a nitrous system there are a whole bunch of new products on the market. All of the following accessories are from a company call Dyno Tune. The nitrous system is by High Power System/:

Remote bottle opener (motor operated), with a pressure switch (instead of thermostat) and a transducer for a remote gauge.

Nitous Arm
Purge
Heater On
Botle Open/Close

A Innovate A/F gauge in place of the oem voltmeter. This setup displays realtime and logs via a button on the gauge.

The photo below is a system by High Power Systems. It is 100 hp fixed/stage 1 and 200 hp progressive on stage 2.

Dont take this the wrong way Jack I am just saying it as I see it but NX has a much cleaner install. Some people don't worry about the looks and cosmetics of how things are installed, others do. That is why I chose NX. BTW, where did you get the dual a-pillar pod? :D

Ieatvets:

The pod came from the viper shop in Florida (Scott)where he was also a paramedic, I believe he is out of business. Someone on this forum mentioned it was from a mustang.

Before I start, I have a enough parts (both NX and NOS) to make a couple of complete systems, if anyone is looking for a system, let me know. Lets talk about NX, I have run both NX and NOS, the High Power Systems setup looks good and installs much cleaner, but, that is not why I put it in. There has always been a bunch of unanswered question on the reliability and output of the domestic systems. I did a lot of research and that is why I am going to the High Power product.

Take a look at his website, do a serach on the NOS Wizard. After you get thru all his marketing hype, the BS and back pating, he really does have many features the US manufacturers do not have. Let me go one step further, the father of nitrous-use is a racer by the name of Dave Vizard. He has a book that is out of print, but, still available on amazon. Basically, the US systems go against the basics of proper nitrous application. If you are going to use nitrous, this book is a must.

The book helped my decision, but, I wanted to push 300 hp and the only safe way on the viper is via progressive control and the US manufacturers do not have a solenoid system that can safely pulse. All of them have a disclaimer that requires an additional solenoid to use as a safty shutdown and I did not want to go that route.

I had bought a NOS progressive controller and solenoid setup to work with my NX system but after reading the install instructions which essentially state that they are expecting for the solenoid to fail under regular use because of pulsing it (which necessitates having anothe safety solenoid inline) I decided to run without the progressive controller.

Aside from the cool pod controls/gauges and the neat A/F meter, the thing that caught my eye was the remote bottle opener. I have NX's model and it's a real pain to put back on after you refill the bottle. This more open design looks like it would be easier to remove and reattach.

WOT:

That is the Innovate gauge and logging system. I bought it direct, but, I saw it is now in the Summit catalog.

Snakester:
that is why I am trying the High Power system. The progressive controller and the solenoids are matched and made to be pulsed with no loss of reliability. The NOS and NX solenoids have too much mass to pulse effectively. They don't even make them. They buy a generic industrial gas solenoid and put their label on it.

Do they have a website or something like that? I really like that switch pod setup.

Oh and I have a brand new NOS remote bottle opener if anyone is interested. Will work a killer deal.
