I'm still patiently waiting for my "new" 96 Coupe, and I just happened to come across this salvage job on ebay. I'm sorry...Please forgive my sick sense of humour! My car is due to arrive Monday or Tuesday, and hopefully it will arrive in better condition! I'll post the real pics when it gets here...

I watched the truck driver who delivered my car smoke the clutch on what seemed to be a brand new Lotus Elise. He backed it down the ramp out of the enclosed trailer and needed to go back up due to not being on the ramp correctly...boy did that smell nasty. All the time I kept thinking, I sure hope he didn't do that to my car....

That GTS doesn't look that bad. It's nothing me and a couple of people I know couldn't fix. If you had the replacement parts.

replacement hood alone: $12k give or take a couple grand.

As I was reading this thread I was thinking to myself, "this guy is really taking this pretty well, this can't be true." Thank goodness I was right because if someone was that laid back about the issue, I think I would have to slap them.

Matt, didn't you sell a 96/97 b/w a year or so ago with 13,200 miles? Did you decide to get another one? What are the details on this one?

I sold my '97 b/w with 3,600 miles two years ago, and I've regretted it ever since. My new purchase is a '96 with only 1,600 miles. The car is flawless, and I can't wait for it to arrive early this week!

Gary was my first choice, but he is one busy man! It seems like he's hauling somebody's Viper every day! Just the same, I'm quite happy with Exotic and would recommend them highly.
