Well I decided to take my car to the local drag strip last night. I was getting all types of advice from people on how to try and get my car to hook up. My rims and tires probably can't get any worse for drag racing (I have 345/25/20 pirellis) but I figured what the hell, I'll give it a go. I didn't hook in 1st, 2nd and even spun a little in 3rd but managed to slip and slip my way to a 11.45 @ 135mph. I had a dismal 2.09 60 foot and my speed at the 1/8th was 99mph. I was told that if my car would hook it could run (in a professionals hands) low 10's.

I'll bet your car is a blast on the freeway!:D

135 is some pretty strong MPH. Low to mid 10 second car if you can find a way to hook.:2tu:

135mph, shweet. And just cause the car could obviously do 10's is no reason to be disappointed with a 11.45, that's a great time, a 135mph ET car is a handfull, especially on regular tires. I'd say great job! I see we're close, I'm in Ellicott City, which track did you go to?

Capital raceway. It's amazing what good weather does for my car. I went there a few weeks ago when it was 90 degrees and about 75% humidity. I ran a best of 11.78 but at only 128mph. This past friday it was way cooler, around 68 but with very little humidity.

yea weather is such a huge factor..

I had an 2.73 geared auto 2004 stock vette with 299 rwhp...

Some days she would trap 99-101 mph..Most days she trapped 100-102 mph...on good days she was at 101-103 mph...

Then this one night we got a nice cold front and she hit 104.5 mph..

huge differance between 99 mph and 104 mph and it was nothing more than the weather
