I am having a problem with idle hang. I tried a number of things but nothing has worked thus far until I turn the AC on. Suddenly the idle hang goes completely away. I can't explain it. Does anyone else have a similiar problem. I can be driving down the road w/o AC on and having idle hang and then just turn on the AC for a split second and it temporarily goes away. ????????????????????????

Did you try and add slack in the accelerator cable? I was suferring from Idle hang for 1 1/2 years and added slack and I'm now disease free!

Gerald, ya I did. Then I put it back because it didn't help. I also checked to make sure my linkage was returning completely against the stops, and it is. Also as I mentioned earlier, NOW all is working great. Go figure??

I noticed that when I DID have idle hang it would happen like clock work IF:
1-heavy into the pedal, then let off
2-drove on a dusty road or very sand/dusty parking stall/lot
