Is there an aftermarket brand of common ignition tune-up
parts for the Viper ? Plug wires, etc. ?
My car has just 19k on it now, but the wires all appear
to be original and I would think that after seven years
they would warrant replacement.
What type of spark plugs seems to be the best ?

GOOD ON YOU Robert for looking at one of the most overlooked items in Viper routine maintenance....Battery, Plugs, Wires.

PLUG WIRES are "toast" and certainly leak-cross-talk after 5-6 years and/or 15K miles. Less with headers. 1992-4 the WORST.

Stock wires are a good choice, and folks tell me PartsRack prices are lower than anywhere...and the correct wires! We also have 8.5mm Viper MoPar Hi-Temp wires in blue.....same core, longer life sheath and boots. Best for headers. Just $25 more than our discount OE price !

Stock Champions are PERFECT for stock and street-performance motors for several reasons..... $20 / set.

I have found the Mopar wires to be an great they in Mopar catalogue part # p4876435 for a 92 to 96 1/2 viper they are 8.5 mm and are number and only sell for $85.00 plus shipping. they are more heavy duty than stock and with stand the heat better

Having put almost 100K on my 3 Vipers, and chatting a lot w/ Mentor - guru Dan Cragin, we both recommend 5-7000 miles.
Wires 15K miles......less w/ headers.

For only about $20 / set ($9.80 IF you can find the CORRECT long-reach plugs on sale locally as Bill apparently did!) you usually get a noticable, improved throttle response and a nicer, smoother idle. I have had at least 10 "lurkers" here thank me for that advice in glowing terms, but they WONT POST.....!?And you get a quick, free look-see as to each cylinder's opertation by examining the used plugs closly.
