BTR Performance is as of today instituting the following policy changes with regards to future Nitrous Kit and Half Shaft sales.
Half Shaft Sales:
All Half Shafts sold from April 23 2001 and on will no longer have a unlimited warranty for breakage.
Nitrous/Propane Sales:
All Nitous/Propane kits sold from April 23, 2001 and on will not be shipped without a signed release from the purchaser holding BTR Performance harmless for any damages, injury or death associated with the kits use and or misuse.
ALL EXISTING HALF SHAFT CUSTOMERS WILL BE COVERED UNDER THE LIFETIME REPLACEMENT WARRANTY.
The reasons for these changes are as follows:
The nitrous system has turned stock vipers into high horsepower/high torque monsters that rival some of the best tuner packages in the industry. This weekend alone customers have posted 10 second times at over 130 mph in cars that have PREVIOUSLY not been able to run 11's. At the flip of a switch one can go from mild to wild. Unfortunately, in inexperienced or unsuspecting hands the combination can be lethal(as can any 700+ hp car).
As for the Half Shafts, We have elected to follow suit with our competition....even though I personaly have not had one break, it has happened and I have stood alone with regards to warranting racing parts.
We will continue to offer our performance guarantee on our exhaust products.
