Cool video... only one gripe... he is totally granny shifting the car. If the front end drops like that, your shift was WAY long!

That's because he was driving MY car. I had the same reaction, though -- no wonder he keeps running low 10s @ 150+ :p

No no no... I don't think Doug understands how it works.

If it's not your car, you beat on it *MORE*, not less!!!!!

Repeat after me...

If you're paying for that mother, baby the ****er!"

My car's pretty much got everything done to it - heads, lowered compression, cam, belanger headers, corsa exhaust... and of course a supercharger. I suspect you'd get most of the same idle sound with just a big cam, belangers, and the corsa, but it's hard to be sure.

Woah! That could have been nasty. Glad he didn't panic!

Awesome sound!

With the Hollinger 6 speed sequential that car will knock over half a second off with no other changes and still be streetable ;) Man that car is quick!

It's certainly fast, although I have yet to demonstrate that it is quick :) However, I'm already plotting my next move when the stock T-56 gives up the ghost, as it eventually will...

Good video Ben. Why is it in videos they always look like they are in slow motion?
I would have s**^ a brick! Nice driving too.

I'd have had kittens right there. Reminds me of the time we left the chute pin out of a B Class rail. Chute sort of streamed out on the track and the rail? Well the disk brakes slowed it enough so that when it hit the sand pits it didn't get totaled. I credit the driver for that. It did bounce sideways in the air once though. Things happen really fast at those speeds!

Us swifty geniuses that left the chute pin out actually got the car turned around in time for our next run that day... amazing that the guy would drive it with us wrenching it after that...

THAT brings back memories - twice we had a chute line snap on the finish line.... the twin chutes just came straight off

....pulling up a car weighing between 2650-3000lb (depending upon ballast) at 200mph on brakes alone and skinnies up front is brown undies material!

It was heart stopping watching our mate (Mark) driving - but not as heart stopping as it was for him in the car! Surviving it twice - he saw the benefit of buying new lines/chutes each season... :smirk:

Same weekend a blower belt came free revving it in the pits and nearly took Mark's arm off - it was a lucky glance. The PSI blower was running 124% overdrive (made 60lb boost)

The next meet however there was a belt guard in place - something he'd been told to do some time ago.... the fibers in those belts are really nasty and almost guarantee infection.

All I can say is OMG that happened right at the finish line :p . The top speed would have scared the heck out of me. Don't think I would have done anymore racing that night. Good video thanks.
