I bought the 3" Corsa cat-back for that very reason -- I often take trips in my GTS, and I didn't want to listen to the drone for 4-8 hours a day! I've had the Corsa installed now for 2 weeks, and I'm very pleased with the results. The car sounds great at idle, and great (loud) when I get on the throttle. But at cruising speeds in 5th and especially 6th gear -- no drone. In fact, clearly quieter than the Snake-Oyl rear pipe assembly I had before. My exact setup is 3" Corsa, Random Tech Hi-Flow cats, stock headers. And I have 3.55 gears, so my cruising RPM's are a little higher than a car with the stock 3.07. Incidentally, fit-and-finish on the Corsa was excellent.

My friend had a GTS with Belanger headers and exhaust, and no cats. It was LOUD! Too loud for me, anyway. Of course, exhaust sound is clearly a matter of personal preference.

Yep the others are right. The Corsa will eliminate the drone and is the quietest exhaust that you can buy. If you want it quiet get the Corsa!

Fear not. You have some reasonable options to make it suit you better.
1. Have an exhaust shop weld in a crossover pipe behind the differential to balance out the pulses / reduce the noise.
2. Add Borla's secondary mufflers at the back. I have a set I use when running no cats.
Both options work well.

Oh MY GOD The car sounds totally awesome, but I have a migraine and my ears are still ringing! It really sounds GREAT when you stand near it idling,or going down the road,as long as your not in it! The drone is like 800 pound KILLER BEE! I maybe should of went with the Corsa . I have heard of some sort of adjustable rear muffler, would this help? Maybe Im just getting old. I still like it over the stock super whimp sound...AL...00PROWLER

Put some turbos on the car. The sound is sweet! I have hi flows and Borlas also and you are dead right about the sound being awesome on the outside and unbearable on the inside.
