The total i paid was $557 which included shipping. Remember I elected to have the entire intake polished, top to bottom. I talked to Tony who mentioned he will offer different packages depending on how much you want polished. Believe me $557 is a bargain for the amount of work that goes into polishing it. Remember he first has to sand it smooth prior to any polishing begins.

Nader,

We can definitely offer different options for polishing this particular intake manifold...just the top, just the top and center portion, top, center portion and sides, etc, etc.

Your pricing was not too far off the normal pricing, but at the time you were on the tail end of a special Holiday Discount that we had extended at the time.

If the interest is high enough we could possibly do a group buy with these intake manifolds. I would need to come up with all of the details, but if the interest is high enough we could definitely offer a group buy on the polishing of these intake manifolds. Currently we only have one 2003-2006 intake in stock that we could polish for a customer, but we will be working on getting more of those soon.

Thanks

Guys I installed the intake yesterday. For one reason or another the ARP bolts didnt want to work. They would get stuck, wouldnt thread and were a pain in the butt. I just used the stock bolts again unfortunately. I dont really understand it since they were the same size and length but I didnt want to force it since it is aluminum.

I just have to wrap up the install today - throttle body and throttle cable. I hope to have the car running and some pics tonight.

By the way there were several bolts that seemed stuck in the heads. It took a ton of force to get them out compared the to 10 ft pounds they were supposed to be torqued. I did have a problem with one going back in that was one of the tough ones. Not quite sure why but I got it in.

Sorry about that. Jegs 611-1000

Well folks I finally had time to install the intake. Man does it take patience and some helpful insight from others. I want to thank Shandon for the intake and the guidance along with Dan from Viper Specialty and Check T. There are some very important tips to know when attempting this removal and install. I took pics throughout the process so i will post a how to in the next few days.

I still can not believe how much it transforms the engine compartment. It is well worth the money.

Oh now that the intake is on, mine is for sale. It is in perfect condition. Make an offer.

Here are some pics:

Here is one not for the faint of heart. If you need to just turn away...

This intake looks amazing.

Have you or did you consider porting and polishing the inside of the intake manifold while it was off?

DC Performance is offering this service now and getting some good hp / tq gains.

Nice work.

Yeah I didnt realize that DC offered porting and polishing until it was too late. Trust me the intake will be coming off again in the future for some "work" so I will do it then.

Thanks for the compliments.

Tom

That looks bad A$$ man!! I love it. You did a great job from the looks of it. The polishing is just the best engine bling I think you can do to these GenIII engines. You open that hood "BAM"! Way to go man! How many beers did you down when you got done or during?:D

Thanks Shandon. I agree it just looks amazing under the hood. Show car stuff! During the removal and install I was stressed since there are alot of things you can screw up but I kept my composure and focus. Some of those bolts are a pain in the butt. Once I started the car and everything seems okay I was happy and celebrated with several cocktails.

Thanks again for your help and your intake.

Tom,

Looks great! Thanks for posting this and I look forward to the "Tips and Tricks" how-to post as this is a mod that I must do. Did you reuse your intake gaskets? I think you mentioned that you already had AB's wires - and for those considering the polished manifold - this is a must do at the same time as well.

I can do a special group buy for everyone on here, but not sure where I should post the info?

I have 2 of the 2005 Intake Manifolds in stock now, so if anyone wants dibs on those let me know. I do have a core charge option as well, but like I said I only have 2 intakes as of now and will be getting more in the future.

I need to find out how many people would be interested for this? I will give deeper discounts just depending on how many we get on board for this group buy special.

Thanks
