Interest in my ADV1 wheels?

I already have offers ranging from 5k-6k, but thats with everything, including tires, tpms, rimlox. And I havent even listed the set for sale yet. Im gonna wait for 7.5k for everything. Not in a rush to sell the rims either. So I can wait.

If you have an offer for $6k... I'd take the money and run. Most people that spend that kind of money on wheels would rather spend a little more and buy new. Winter right around the corner, you'll probably have a hard time selling...

(This is just my speculation, but I've gone through countless rims on a number of different cars through the years.) One off wheels don't mean anything to me as it is rare you see another Viper and the chances you have the same aftermarket wheels is slim to none. Well, that's not true... I did run into someone that had the same carbon 360 Forged wheels that I had, but he was from Washington State (at VOI).

The car looks great, the prob with 1 off wheels is if you break one your screwed. 2 most forged 19-20's can be bought new for around 3500(plus tires) as there are many many new forged co's popping up. If someone did infact offer you 7k take that and run.

No doubt. I'm amazed anyone would offer that. I can get a new set of 360 Forged's(in 20's no less) for 7k. Why would I spend that on used wheels?

Nauman, don't be surprised at the comments. Honestly, I sell to the Corvette, Camaro, and Viper markets primarily. The GM guys will spend far more for a quality wheel, even the Camaro guys will outspend the Viper guys. What is even more ironic is that Viper guys will overpay for factory Viper wheels at $2500-3500/set, but complain about spending that same money for a forged set of wheels. The Camaro guys almost give their factory 20s away, and have no problem spending $6000 on a set of wheels.

Weird, eh?

Aren’t the factory Viper wheels forged aluminum? Aren’t the six spoke and sidewinder wheels some of the lightest weight wheels available for the 18x10 and 19x13 sizes? (this is what I've gathered reading a few posts here) If this is true the only advantage of paying a premium to OEM would be the look. To the OP – what do these wheels weigh?

Camaro factory wheels are not forged (except for the ZL1) and are very heavy, hence why they are given away. Doesn’t seem like an apples to apples comparison given the factory Viper wheels are already very good to begin with.

I dont know what they weigh, but i think they're lighter.
I hated all the factory wheel styles.

I bought these for the looks and the brand.

ADV1 is an awesome brand that has been making a name for themselves as of late.

They are one piece rotary forged like Forgestar and TSW rims which makes them indeed very light and pretty affordable. Two or three piece wheels wheels tend to be stronger (not by much) but they are heavier. The main reason why you have multipiece wheels is the customization ability at minimum of investment. In other words, only the centers have to be custom fit, the offset is achieved by combination of outer and inner lips to create the needed offset. There is a limited number of actual wheel manufacturers and limited number of centers, this is why so many different brands of custom wheels tend to look the same. BTW, there are very few real fully forged multipiece wheels, I believe only the centers are forged.

How many Camaros are out there compared to Vipers? There's a lot more factory sets available. Always comes back to supply and demand

Gen 4 ACR 5-spokes (same wheel as above)

Does anyone buy the Forgestar wheels? I would expect them sell like hot cakes, considering they are technology like the six spokes and 5 spoke liteweights but for about half price and in larger diameter and without that idiotic alcoa proprietary finish.

That's basically what I read too, which is why I wouldn't pay more for a set of ADV1 wheels used, when I can get a nicer looking brand new set of 360's from you for cheaper.

I have some coming to use as street wheels with street tires on my ACR.

Thanks Ryan. Last year was focusing on the "go", now it's time to work on the "show". :) I've got a few other items on the way to round it out. Will post up some pics when it's all finished.
