Interior question: 96 rt 10

did the side sill plastic trim cover that holds down the carpet by the doors ever have caps that covered the screws? i know other years do but they are a different size. the holes in the 96 sill are larger than my 2002 gts and the plugs just fall right into the hole and don't work on my 96. if not has anyone ever found a plug that would work?

No, the 96's do not have plugs for the holes. If there is an aftermarket plug that fits, I'll buy a set. I have the dirt that accumulates in the holes.

How much for just the dirt Chad?

Really though, I'll assume something as simple as trying the later model hole plugs no workie?

What about the Big Brakes part for that area?

I tried the later model plugs, no dice....the holes are bigger in the Gen 1.5 (1.5.1 if its a RED 96' RT), so the plugs just fall into the hole instead of snapping in the hole and staying in place like they should.

i've come to realize that there are atleast 3 different type side sills. one with small holes & no logo that have plugs, one (96) with large holes with no plugs, and one with small holes and a viper logo that use the small plugs. maybe there are even more types but i am not sure.
