Is the engine in a 96 the same as a 94??

Can anyone tell me the differance between these two engines if any..
are the TBs the same,does it have the same pcm or does it have the later pcm..

I heard that the motors in the red 94's with the silver stripes and the hundreds of hours spent blinging them out are really good, (especially with the 99 injectors fitted)

The 96 GTS was different from the 96 RT but I guess you already knew that.

I dunno what he was exactly asking, but watta bout the block and head design? I know they had different power outputs for certain years, but was the casting all the same since day 1?

Yes, I have a 96 crate motor in my 94. I remember that the new harness on the crate motor was diffent for one sensor that was near the front passinger side TB. On the 94 motor it was in the rear. Everything else was the same. Just one sensor relocated. Hope this helps.
