I'm thinking of having my Viper trailer to the Voi.7 event. I don't own a truck, but does anyone know a company that will rent trucks that can pull a viper? I would be using a car transport to pull the viper.

I was thinking of renting a uhaul truck to do it. heh!

It's a pain in the *** to rent Adam, but it is possible. Don't tell them you're pulling a Viper - that nixed two deals for me - UHaul and Penske. I finally purchased a trailer which helped solve half the problem. I rented an Excursion, don't tell them you're going out of state or that you're pulling anything.

If you think you're going to be pulling a few times a year then at least invest in a trailer. If you buy a used one you won't lose any money on it.

Why aren't you driving your Viper???

Finding a truck with the CAPACITY to tow a Viper on an open trailer is reasonable. HOWEVER, finding a truck set up with a brake controller for the electric brakes that you should ALWAYS have on a trailer is the tricky part. Check around at places that install hitches in your area - there is actually a place in Charlotte that rents duallys with gooseneck hitches... and don't be afraid to call a trailer dealer - often they will rent vehicles that they have on the lot that are for sale, as well as a trailer to go with it...

Trailer it for TWO hour drive??? Come on, surely you don't have a garage queen! The depreciation on the car will be less than the cost to trailer it. Heck, I drove up to B.C. Canada and back, and after I got the bugs off, it still is shiny!
