Is that the factory forgeline offset for those wheels? I just got the call, my forgeline sp3p's are ready to ship but i'm almost thinking that the rear wheels stick out to much:omg:
forgeline told me that there offset would be more aggressive than stock but that just might be alittle to much................maybe its just the pic, maybe its the angle......
Now i'm alittle worried to get my wheels on.

Anyways I love the strips and the interior but the side art over does it. Obviously you like it and that is all that matters.

I agree drop the back down alittle more

The offset on the forgelines aren't for this car, you you're dead on, they do stick out a bit and it bothered me at first. But the wheels are very lightweight, I love the style and the deep dish... so I had to use them here. They also don't make them anymore.

Little things still have to be finished up. Like someone said, red license plate cover... That's just temporary. I didn't anticipate posting these pics this soon. But vacation is coming in two weeks and given the weather, it's going to be tough to come by many more sunny days in the next week or so.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Let me start out by saying that I appreciate the fact you want to make to car "your own" but considering what you have done with the car, it needs to be looked upon as what not to do with one's Viper. First, I commend you on the original base color. I love the SSG. The stripes should have been wider and they should have gone all the way through the front fascia as well as the rear (license plate area included). Ditch the snakeskin crap. Also, get rid of the red color all together (license plate frame) and while you are at it get rid of the side skirts.

I think the side view looks like shi*. That black needs to go. Don't know what you are trying to go for.:dunno:

Now, this is just my observation as a custom painter. I understand that each Viper owner has a right to do whatever he/she wants to do to their car. But, as a Viper owner myself, I like to maintain as much of the original concept (paint, design) as possible to stay true to the Viper heritage.

As far as the trunk goes, hats off. I think that whomever did the trunk redesign did a great job. It is awesome. I don't mind giving credit where credit is due. I think I need to talk to the guys that did your trunk area.

I LOVE THOSE STRIPES! the interior is lamborghini-wild. all that green inside is so "IN YOUR FACE", but @ the same time, tasteful.;)

not a real big fan of the graphics on the side. i think they are a little much, but the stripes & interior totally rock.

VS - might take it to the occasional show, but I bought mainly for the track. I have other capable cars but couldn't resist the 08 enhancements and wanted something that could still easily cruise with the club in. Hardtop would have been better, but given my height, the verts are far more accommodating.

Z - It's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of passion. The car was posted here, not to fit everyone's tastes, but to show another example of how Viper fanatics like making things their own. As Viper owners we can often be eccentric, so some wild things come out of the garages baring the Viper emblem. Some I love, some I hate, but I respect them all.

By the way, I didn't go down the bumpers for a reason. Because it's a track car, I've had to repaint the bumpers before. This will eliminate the need to repaint the stripes and match the snakeskin pattern - which I love. There is also a reason the stripes are exactly the width they are. Do you own an 08?

Autowerks did the work on the trunk. Their work is exceptional, I was pleased. I don't have their number in front of me, but if you visit www.illinoisvipers.com, it's listed in the Links/Sponsors area. They really are good people. And evidenced by the Vipers, lambos, bentleys, bugatti's, and even the two orignal batmobile cars (I would kill to drive that down the street)... they've earned many people's trust. They're located in Northbrook, IL. Ron and Jerry are the guys to talk to.

Theme music has to be something from AC/DC...

Was there unique music for the Riddler in Batman?? Don't know why but that comes to mind.

That car is perfect ( except the license frame) IMO.

Awesome

I'm guessing if you love the wheels you could send them back to forgeline and have them change the offset. not to sure what that would cost but i'm sure its cheaper than buying new wheels.:dunno:

Maybe they look perfect fine in person.

Snare drum... heheh. I needed that laugh.

Lots of differnet companies worked on the car (Prefix, Autowerks, Roanoke, Graphics Zone, Riggs Bros, etc..). Had them all on a schedule, we missed a few things but almost there. Autowerks did the system. They have a great builder. I knew what I wanted and he did a good job executing. All the logos light up green with LED's. I also put all the electronincs on wireless, so my 6 channel remote controls leds, strobes, etc...

Awesome job Alex!
The same builder at autowerks (eric) did my sound system as well. Best guy around no doubt.

Link to my setup not to take the focus off Alex's awesome 08 :)

Yep, Eric is awesome. Listens well and did a great job tuning. Used to do it myself over a decade ago, but just don't have the time to screw around with these thigns any longer. And Eric just does it a smidge better (ok, a lot better).

Pteam - needed to get a convertible because I'm 6'4" and it provides more headroom and is easier to get in/out of.

Ullose - Yep, even on the GenI the offset wasn't good on these wheels. Drove me nuts becuase I can't stand how they stick out. Since the rear end is higher (hasn't been lowered yet), the wheels seem to look like they stick out even further. I called forgeline, they say they can't do anything about. Though I love these VR! wheels so much (and they're super light weight), just can't part with them. It's not terrible, but it bugs me. Though it does give me a wider track! Note, they also made the back wheels too wide. The old 335's had to really stretch. The tires you're looking at in the pic are 355 Pirelli Rosso. Anything smaller and the tires look too small for the rim!

Wow, it's hard to believe that's the same car I left fingerprints on at Prefix. Great job. Love the snakeskin stripes and black side graphics.

I have to commend you on the amount of work that went into the car. While some of things are not my taste, you certainly stuck to a theme and worked it throughout the car.

Question if it is a trackcar, why all the heavy stereo equipment and trunk work?

I like the luxury of nice tunes. What can I say. I'll sacrifice it for the win. ;.) All it adds is some weight, my guess is 30 pounds total. For the 12 or so track events we do each year, the weight I've added to these cars with the audio systems (and my own weight!) hasn't seem to slow me down too much. I guess if I need an edge, I'll knock a few pounds off myself.

John, I just like em and wanted to see how they looked ont his car. Figured it would stand out far more than on the red one. They are vinyl, in some spots layered. Had the pattern saved. The beauty is when I get sick of them, comes right off. Have another design in mind, but figure I'll leave this on for a while until I want to change.
