Thanks guys and gals on all the congrats and compliments on the new ACR....I know its been a crazy long whiney saga on my part.:D
I really need to give a big shout-out to Eric Wright(hou99gts) who took the time to preview the car at Tomball and took 80 pictures of it for me!!!!! His pics really helped me decide. Thanks Again Eric..:2tu::headbang:

You made the right decision waiting it out!!! now give us your impression when you take it for a spin.....are you keeping it stock or are belangers,HFs Cats, in the works....

Art, See my thread on my first drive...Would like to go with just headers and exhaust but I will need a ACR fund for that next year.lol

Well its a about damn time Kevin, now I'll have to go back to watching soap operas. LOL
The ACR looks amazing in SSG, when are you painting the drivers stripe?
I hope you have many s(miles) of enjoyment, drive safe and I'm glad it all worked out for the best.
Steve

Steve, Yes it was a bad VCA soap. I have not decided yet to go with the drivers stripe as in person I think it looks pretty good without it...I will probably decide over the Winter...Iam not woried that it will not be stock after that as its my car and really do plan to keep this one for awhile,lol......I know not one of you on this site will believe that last statement:rolaugh:

Looks awesome!!! You had a similar DOH moment to what I had after my first drive. I shut the car down, and couldn't get the key out of the ignition. I sat there for a few minutes turning it on, turning it off, putting it in gear, applying the parking brake, the regular brakes, the clutch, and still couldn't get it to relase. Then I actually LOOKED at the key and realized I had to push a button to release the key. I wasn't going to tell anyone about it, but since your story was even funnier, I figured I'd fess up.

Be careful on cold roads - don't ask me how I found out :)

By the way, mine came in dirty as heck, too (same reason, didn't want to the dealer to touch it). If you have water spots that sat and dried, they're a b_tch to get out. Even after claying them, I could still see them. I had some old Zaino Z-1 around that I remembered was really good at removing them (I think it's slightly acidic, so it gets rid of calcium and mineral deposits) and it did the trick. Friends were trying to convince me to use other (harsh) compounds, but that Z-1 stuff did the trick.

OK Martin I have to ask ,did you spin the snake..:omg::eater:...I want some pics posted...If I can post dirty pics you can too....I laughed at your key episode....I have water spots but they can wait...Iam tired of stressing about cars, time for me to just drive it..:2tu:

I don't believe my eyes... I was sure you were going to bail out, on the order..

Congrats!!! Car looks outstanding.. How is quality control on this one?

Taxi,
I was sooo close to getting the Yellow ACR but happy I did get the car I ordered..
The quality control is better than my 08 but still not perfect.....As I have said before time to just enjoy it for what it is...If you can afford one get it!!!!! In ANY color:2tu:but SSG:nono:

I agree. If you can afford to get one, buy it now before they stop building them. And ofcourse if youre lucky enough to find one, the SSG is the hottest color...hmmm.

Well, there I was at the gas station filling up just after buying my 2003 from a friend. I jump back into the car, shove the key in, push the big red button and, ... nothing. Well it tried to start but not a chance of succeeding. I call Triple-A and he puts his tester on the battery. "Yup, it's dead." So he sells me a new one. After he drives off I realize the door won't open. I kept pushing the button on the remote and no clicking no opening, and I don't see anywhere to insert the key to open the door. I'm standing there at the gas station and I can't get into my own car. And of course everybody is staring because it is by far the most beautiful automobile that has ever been seen at that gas station. They can tell something's wrong. I'm getting more agitated and more red-faced as time goes on. It took me maybe eight minutes, I'm guessing, to vaguely remember something I read on the internet about a key slot at the front of the door.

The people standing around forgave me for my idiocy after I fired up the engine. What a pretty sound.

Fortunately, didn't spin it :) It was cold out, and the road was a little damp, and I definitely felt like I wasn't safe. I'm thinking a set of PS2s for the winter months might be a good investment.

I'm gonna get some pics posted soon!
