I must admit,I used to truly respect and admire John Hennessy and his work,then things started to happen,one involving me a few years ago,John recently sent me a lets just say not very nice threatning email,wondering why i was trash talking him, basically put up or shut up ,needless to say my return mail was not for the frail.He then returned, questioning why i was so upset with him.I then refreshed his memory about a particular part that i never recieved(he seemed to genuinally not remember) but insisted that i allow him to make things right,Well i must admit i wasnt to interested in his attempts,But he absolutely insisted,So i agreed to see what happened.Well i certainly do not want to start any wars here and maybe i sold my sole to the "devil"But this man went out of his way to make good and then some, on a debt that i had long givin up on (but not forgotten).I do realize that there is a long road to redemption but in my opinion he is travling it.We must admit all frustration and lawsuits aside,Hennessy Motorsports use to stand for something and as far as i am concerned him and i are square.OK I AM NOW DONNING MY FLAME SUIT

OK, I'm all suited up so here goes:
I purchased my MY 2000 Viper with the HMS mods on it. The issues with John H had already come to the foreground, so you can imagine my surprise when John was extremely responsive to my questions and issues. This seemed odd given everything that was being published about him, doubly so considering I already had HMS goods and wasn't spending money.
OK, I'm ready... flame away...

Scott - good to see John took care of you. Hopefully HP will be posting the same in the next couple of days.

The proof will be when John takes care of the "big" cases, No Mercy, Taig, etc.

No one has ever said anything bad about John's ability to tune Vipers, it's his problems with taking customer's money and not delivering what was paid for. I hope he finishes what was paid for or repays everyone that has a legitimate problem with him and he gets a reputation for someone who is safe to do business with as well as being one of the best Viper tuners around.

It looks like he is making a start in the right direction - and that is good news.

AWESOME! I'm glad you got taken care of buddy. Great story. I couldn't tell how in the world it was gonna turn out the way it started.

I'm the same way - and it looks like my story may have an ending.

I do not know about the rest of the people on the board but I am tried of hearing about the HMS issues .Tuners should boast about how good their product is and back it up with facts. ie: race slips, dynos ect. Not about how bad someone else is. I have never heard Sean Roe or Larry Macedo post anything bad about another tuner. In fact I have heard them compliment other tuners. I would say the same for MTD, DLM , Snake oil, Unitrac and many others. Let your money do the talking by spending it on good positive tuners.

No flames for anyone. I think it's great that John is making good on some of the people he stole from. I got all my money back (well not really all, no shipping expense money or lawyer money). Maybe he has run into some money or is just trying to clear some things up with some vocal VCA members. However, I don't think that because he is giving money back to customers which was stolen from them, he should be in anyone's good graces. He has been a thief for many years as his employees have told us. We know there are plenty of people out there that don't even know that he didn't install parts they paid for on their cars. So great John, give some people back the money they deserve and close up shop. This shouldn't be a reason people should start saying "hey, he's giving people the money and parts back, maybe I will buy from him" There are an abundance of reputable tuners out there now. He is a dishonest man that should be stopped. Remember, even though he might be trying to make good with the higher profile people, he is still at this time hurting others. What was it two or three weeks ago we heard about the last incident? It does show one thing though, if he actually does make good with you as I think he did with Hugh, than anyone who knows someone that he burnt, should urge him or her to post on this site as well as the other. Seems like the best course of action to get your money back. Sorry to sound so cynical, but I have experience too much with this man and heard that much more from other folks.
No Mercy, I know in the hopes of getting your money back you don't want to rock the boat, I've been there before, but how many times has he contacted you telling you he was sending out a check or series of checks as money comes in?

This is typical con man behaviour - be sweet and nice to regain favor with those that have a voice - this will lead more lambs to the slaughter.

Don't do this guy ANY favors until he has straightened it with every single individual he ripped off then operated his business on the straight for as many years as he ripped people off. He does that... I'm a beleiver.... until then...no way. Help him out in anyway and you are an enabler. If you don't know what that is ... go to AA meetings for a year or two and get a dose of reality.

If you want to help a tuner out ...buy something from one of the re-putable guys.

This yokel is only behaving the way he is because he is in survival mode - he will do anything to survive, including ripping off more innocents or being "nice" to you.
