One of the member's on here found me a set of used Tom's brake calipers for a great price! Any advice about installing while I'm in there?

Also are the Ipsco stainless brake lines/fittings the way to go??

Be really really careful when installing the calipers, its really easy to pinch /tear the rubber grommets on the end of the shaft.
These ones.

If any of the seals are split you can get replacements here

Renault Laguna 1/4/1994 - 1/3/2001
Part no BRK203623

Use the Ipsco lines and the stainless rear line coupling ;)

Heres a breakdown of the parts in there

Note you will need a 40mm seal ring ;)

For the 40mm piston, you will need a Brembo 40mm seal, part number 05.5955.58

Great product, you will feel a world of difference under sharp braking, much better balance all round :)

So if a guy who's a machinist were to make his own 40mm pistons, those are the seals and dust boots required?

I have the calliper covers, they are really great, but they do not attach to the calliper, they attach to the end holes in the outer Brake pad :)

If You can't get hold of any, I will remove mine and take a few pics and draw a template for you, then you can get some sheet aluminium and make your own :)

Yes.

But its not just about increasing the size of the piston, you have to increase the size of the cylinder and the internal lip of the cylinder where the rubber seal is position. If you don't do this the rubber seals tear when trying to replace the piston.

Not a 5min Job!

You will require though a 40mm rubber piston seal ring, not a 38mm one

For the 40mm piston, you will need a Brembo 40mm seal, part number 05.5955.58
