My experience: (1) the 1/4 mile tends to be .1 +/- .05 sec pessimistic because it records from when you start moving, not from when you would have tripped the timing lights; (2) the MPH tends to be 1-2MPH optimistic because it's recording actual speed at the end of the 1/4, not the average for the last 66 feet. HP tends to be substantially below dyno figures, because in lower gears your driveline is less efficient and you have engine/flywheel rotational inertia soaking up power, and in higher gears you have aerodynamic drag doing the same.
All in all, a very worthwhile device for $140.
