Keeping the back of the GTS clean

Have a 2002 GTS, there is some type of vortex going on behind the rear bumper when the car is up to speed, like a low pressure area. Living in Florida this puts lots of sand all over the back, which I know could mess up the paint. The only thing I can think of to decrease this is a rear diffuser which mounts under the car. However they are about $1000. Is there anything else available that is cheaper? Thanks.

There is one other way to solve this problem: sell it.

You could have a company clear bra the rear and other stone chip prone areas. For a bit more, you could do the whole car

Blow it off with an air compressor and then use a good amount of detail spray and wipe with a microfiber towel.

Yup, so I just make sure to hose it off really well before I wash it with the sponge

A rear lower diffuser won't help. At least mine doesn't seem to.
