I was wondering for those that do not have a climate controlled garage, how do you store your vipers in the winter? Do you drive it every couple of weeks just to get the cob webs out or do you let her sit? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

PermaBag & "drying cylinders" (= removing moisture!)
Trickle charger for the battery.
6 months storing over winter time.
Higher pressure in the tires against flat spots.

For many years now - absolutely NO problems so far.

My wife bought me a car capsule that I store my GTS in every winter. It keeps all the dirt and such off it and also protects it from accidental bumps and scratches. In the spring it also keeps the moisture off of the car until I break it out for the summer.

I also pull the IOD (I think that is what it is called) fuse. This is the fuse that keeps sending power to the clock and interior lights and such which continually drain the battery (very modestly).

I don't store my car I drive it, our cars are more comfortable when it’s cold out just be careful with your traction on cold tires. Rain will wash the salt off the road after it snows, sun comes out and what a pretty day for diving! :2tu:

Ditto for me. I don't like an OHV engine to sit for months with the same valve springs compressed. If there's snow on the road I'll pull it out in the driveway on a nice sunny day and let the engine run for 20 minutes or so.

Plastic on the floor to prevent moisture from building up under the car and a dehumidifier that runs down to 44 degrees year round. And a few mouse traps just in case.

What is "winter"? :D

Come on up tp Wisconsin this winter Chad and I will show you what winter is and how much fun blasting across a lake doing 120mph can be. Or busting through a 10' high snow drift. Winter is great!!

Don't laugh about the mouse traps. I am not in a rural area, but have a detached garage. I had mice actually eat the spark plug boots right off. The also stripped the hood pad in sections for bedding (I guess.)

PermaBag.
Car, in.
Mouse, out.

Ever had a mice nest in the A/C ducts? ;-)
