i can get a good price on a "manufacturer buy-back" but don't know if it's worth the savings. does anyone have experience with that? will i have a problem when i try to re-sell it? thanks <font color="purple"> </font>

It will show up on a car fax as a buy back. Depends on what "a good price" is and what year. Can you say the kind of car? You have to expect to have troubles with the car and not expect the manufacture to help after the sale.

While I personally have reservations about such "deals", I do have a good friend that purchased a Viper under the same circumstance. He NEVER had any type of problem with it, and, was therefore quite pleased. Resale time may be a bit more tedious...but as 99 R/T 10 said: " Depends on what "a good price" is and what year ".

Usually the people that do that are just picky assholes anyway. It does decrease the value, but the car is probably fine.

My '03 viper had an engine problem when first sold to first buyer. I bought it with an arrow rebuild with way more than factory hp and trq. Since then I have had two warranty issues and they were taken care of under normal factory warranty.

Once the repairs are made car should be like new or better, but find out what was wrong first and drive the car and use your own judgement.
