Let\'s have a little contest!

ok gang, here is the deal. Joe Donovan came by today to pick up my car. (Pics)

There are a couple minor issues to work out, then it is off to the dyno. what are your guesses that the final Hp and the torque values will be? your Hp and torque value figures will be subtracted from the actual readings, then the two figures will be added together. the person with the lowest combined value will receive a nice viper gift from me! everyone is eligible, even all our enthusiast friends!

here are some hints:

stock motor. no head work. (yet - :D ) stock exhaust manifolds. twin walboros in the tank, #8 line to motor. 55lb injectors with fuel rails. vortech supercharger, cog drive. intercooler. approximately 9 +/-1 lbs of boost we have gauged so far. no cats, borla mufflers, straight pipes out back. vec 2.

no more hints here. a few additional hints can be found in my gallery or in previous threads. i am guessing the car will be done in about a week or two, and i will post results then.

742hp. 871tq. altitude #2630 ....temp 91 humid 79%.
Is this too detailed of a guess?

P.S. I have no clue what I am talking about.

I'll be back with my guess after I go to the Bat Cave and do some calculations, but I do know if you run it without the hood, it will be faster in the 1/4 :D

I will not guess on the numbers, but your car is in the right hands at PBJ!! Mine will be down there in the next few months for heads/cam.

ok, here is a little hint for those in the 600 hp range. i want this to be a close race. :laugh:

the last time we were on the dyno, WE WERE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL and started to run lean at 700hp / 700 ft/lb of torque, at 4000 rpm. it was at that point that we realized we had to upgrade the fuel pump in the tank to twin walboros, run a bigger feed line, and go to some kind of full-circulation fuel system.

anybody want to make corrections to their guesses? ;)

ps - i must be honest and tell you all that there are no tickets to HAWAII for the winner. if someone can convince me how Hawaii is viper related, i might reconsider. not. :D

YAY JOHN!, Finally, your ride is off to get tweaked! And, a couple more pics to prove that you really do have a Viper! lol! Joe called me today and was actually looking for you. Hope the ride over to St Louis went without hitch. I am all the faith in Joe that he's gonna deliver a monster to you. By what I can see in the pics, those SH seats look very nice. We'll need to go for a cruise next weekend! As for numbers, I say 710/730 with a street aggressive tune on 93 octane. I have included a link to a cool Hawaiian shirt that the winner should get to go along with the Hawaiian vacation. Keep in touch!

everyone - i have been telling jeff for a long time that i owned a viper, even though he has never seen it - it has always been in the shop! yes jeff, hopefully by next week, you can ACTUALLY SEE AND HEAR THE CAR!! cant wait to go for the maiden cruise with ya!
