ROTFLMAO - how many said if you build it (the coupe) we will buy it!

HOWEVER-

) I FORGOT TO TELL YA COMP COUPE
) BACK MUST LOOK LIKE GTS
) SIDE DUCT NEEDS TO BE CURVED LIKE GTS
) HATCH NEEDS TO BE LIKE GTS
) NEEDS TO LOOK MORE LIKE GTS
) I'M SORRY I MUST HAVE MENT BUILD A GTS AND I'LL BUY IT

DODGE WAY TO GO ON THE COLOR CHOICE YOU PICKED FOR THE NEW COUPE TO BE SEEN BY FOR THE FIRST TIME.

NEXT TIME DODGE MAKE THEM PUT SOME CASH UP FRONT MAYBE YOU'LL FIND OUT WHO ARE YOUR REAL BUYERS.

THERE JUST IS NO PLEASING PEOPLE THESE DAYS, YOU GIVE THEM WHAT THEY ASKED FOR AND SEE WHAT YA GET IN RETURN.

FUNNY THING IS, DODGE SEEMS TO BE SELLING MORE VIPERS EACH YEAR SINCE THE NEW SRT CAME OUT, NO THAT CANT BE TRUE - READ THE FORMS MOST GEN I AND II OWNERS DONT LIKE IT - NOW COME ON DODGE YOU REALLY AREN'T BUILDING THAT MANY CARS WITH NO BUYERS RIGHT.

LETS SEE - CASH IS KING - DODGE MAKES SUPER REFINEMENTS THAT ATTRACT THOSE WHO HAVE THE MEANS BUT WANTED MORE PERFECTION, BETTER RIDE, A CAR THAT STOPS FASTER THEN A ENZO, A REAL CONVERTABLE AND MUCH NICER INTERIOR, LETS NOT FORGET MORE MOTOR - YES THAT 8.3L V10 WHICH EVERYONE WAS SOOOOOOOOO UPSET ABOUT WITH THE NEW COUPE HAVING SUCH A DISMAL PERFORMANCE RATING.

DODGE I THINK THE BEST THING YOU COULD DO, STILL OFFER THE GTS AND RT10 WITH NEW COLORS, THE IMPROVED MOTOR AND BRAKES, MODS FROM THE FACTORY ( WHICH BY THE WAY WOULD BE GREAT IF OFFERED) SO ALL THE CRYING AND WHINEING CAN COME TO A END FOR THEM. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO THIS FOR THEM. :headbang:

BUT ;)

DONT STOP WHAT YOU STARTED I FOR ONE LOVE THE DIRECTION YOU ARE GOING WITH THE SRT :2tu:

I TRUELY HOPE FOR THE DISAPPOINTED ONES DODGE HELPS YOU OUT AND CAN MAKE YA HAPPY WITH A NEW VIPER, BE IT THE OLD BODY STYLE BUT NEW AT LEAST. I'M SURE IF YOU ALL GOT TOGETHER AND PAYED UP FRONT DODGE WOULD DO IT BUT I DONT THINK THEY WILL TAKE YOUR WORD FOR IT ANYMORE.

I HOPE ALL OF YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT, I DID :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Maybe this concept is just a trial balloon, so people will say: "Its got too much GTS in it", then Dodge can do what they really wanted, and not carry over so many design cues from the past.

Hey, Vic, your so nice of a guy to reply to this I'm impressed.I know where that comes from, and I respect that in you. Wanted, stick with your SRT and you might be happy. We're just not wanting a combo coupe. They know what most of us want, but can they deliver? If they do, it'll be a Grand Slam, IMHO. :headbang:

Hey Wanted --

I'm not sure if I understand your confusing rant. Let me try to simplify things for you . . .

We're happy you got your SRT. No one is bashing SRT's here.

We're also happy that Dodge is working on a coupe. What we're not all pleased with is that VOI Concept Coupe appears to be a camel designed by a committee. It doesn't have to be a GTS, a GTSR, a Comp Coupe or anything that Dodge has built before -- but it should look like one integrated design, not some hatched up patchwork kit car.

You're right, the buyers will vote with their money. Many of us love our Vipers and would like to stay with the Viper community, that's why we are trying to suggest positive improvements. Otherwise, there are some other appealing alternatives out there . . . and Dodge can take our word for that!

Very well said, I agree 100%.

Very well said. The new coupe looks like a product of a short design period. Feedback is what Dodge wants as does any company and the community is saying that they need to go back and work on the car a lot more. If Dodge really cares they will listen. Only time will tell.

I find it amusing that some people think that higher production numbers on the Viper is a good thing. As far as I can tell the production is only slightly higher which is fine by me. One of the reasons the Viper has so much appeal is that there are not that many built each year.

I think the small ramp in production is fine, but it really seems like there are a whole lot of unsold new SRTs around.

Wanted, it sounds to me like you are really trying to convince yourself of something.

Vipah:

Exactly stated. Higher producion numbers are not good and as a result that is why new cars are able to be obtained for such low prices. Discussed this a little while back but some got mad. LOL!

You're right. I did say build it and I will buy it. Bill P. has my deposit(I'm # 6 on his list). Next question.

Well, for one -- why would you put a deposit on a car that isn't for sale yet? Maybe to give Dodge some interest income to put toward design improvements?

You're certainly entitled to do whatever you want, Doc. I, for one, have different priorities for where I spend my money.

(No flame intended by any of these comments -- I really want to buy a new Viper coupe, just not that one.)
