Hi all, just bought a 96 gts this week! Sure beats my 00 prowler. It was nice but a little to slooooow for my liking! When I got trounced by a subaru WRX, I made the decision that will NEVER happen again! Am i better off leaving the car all original, or is ok to do K&Ns, tubes, eibachs, (to much wheel well for me), any advice will be greatly appreciated!//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// :D Heres Mine circa 2006...I dont have to worry about WRXs anymore...Since then way back in 2002,I have been busy, Corsa exhaust,Roe cats and heat wraps, tubes, filters, gears,Eibach springs, short shifter,Roe fan mod,Roe S/C, **** injection, shift light,Centerforce clutch,etc...Now i have 620 RWHP and loving it. Almost everything I have added to my car would not have been possible if not for the VIPER CLUB OF AMERICA website and all of the great information you all have shared with me...Thanks...AL... :D :D :2tu:

Sorry but my first post was back on the old system. Too long ago for my memory to work.

this was in 8/03...not my first post but the first with my Viper:

What can I say. 2001 Sapphire Blue GTS/stripes with 156 miles on it. Bought it "used" but not even broken in. Gawk factor...definitely, especially in a town of 5000 or so.

Special thanks to Bob Woodhouse who sent me a brocure 4 or 5 years ago, got my heart pumpin. Special thanks to Bill

Pemberton (who else?) for giving me a test ride 2 years ago knowing that I wouldnt be able to purchase a car for some time. He took time out of a busy Saturday schedule to give me 20 minutes that I'll never replicate in the snake. He also sold me my '03 Cobra which I will miss.

Anyway, thanks Bill for your time and I cant wait to join the VCA and attend some of the events with the great folks on this board. I'll have to change my sig I think.

Whats going on now (1/26/06)

Participated in the V10 nationals in Topeka and did some drag/road racing as well.

Not a lot of places to drive the car around a small town like mine and I needed a reliable storm chasing/denver weekly commuter so I traded in the Viper for an '05 Xterra.

Well, after a few months I missed the Viper so I got something a little more practical to drive around town...an SRT 10 Ram regular cab from Bill Pemberton.

Road raced the truck at PPIR with great success but I wanted more power.

So not more then a week ago I picked up Lee Saunders (Viper owner for those who dont know him) supercharged SRT Ram regular cab and traded in my old one.

So here I am today Zaino-ing the "new to me" SRT Ram and trying to limit my foot mashing on the pedal just to feel the 1st/2nd gear roasting of the tires.

I hope to race the truck at Bandimere this year as well as suprise a few local cars at the closed airstrips at local car shows.

Good evening all! I have been a Mustang (2x1967's) enthousiast for most of my life. I have three dream cars though..1. 1967 mustang 2. AC Cobra(replica will do) and 3. Dodge Viper.
2down and 1 to go. I LOVE THE CAR! It is everything I had hoped for and more. I have wanted one since late 91 when I first saw an ad. Although I must admit I am a budget Viper owner. I look for bargains and try to save where I can so I can keep the car running and looking great. Not much for $8k upgrades and such, I would if I had the time. I want to thank you other Viper owners and enthousiasts for your posts and for giving such great information over the years that I have been able to learn from. I drove it from Dallas to Austin with the harness' on and had my first experience with a convertible and not wearing sunscreen when it was overcast (was in bed the following Sunday). I look forward to many posts. If anyone knows of any events in Austin, Texas. Please email me at [email protected] and I would be interested in talking about it...I just look for excuses to drive it on the weekend or anywhere. FAST, pretty much sums it up for me and the new toy! Next on the list for my red 94 rt/10 is a set of 98 rims...any suggestions on where I can get some? Thanks all!!!

First post was 8/04.

JUST BOUGHT A VIPER...

I decided to buy American and the obvious choice was a Viper GTS. I was getting labeled as anti-American by some of my oceanfront neighbors. I was looking to experience something besides my 512BB, GTO, F40, and Enzo......

Circa 2006: My Viper looks great next to my Saleen S7, McClaren F1, Ferraris (I couldn't give them up,) and SLR daily driver. I moved to my own private island because of my irritating neighbors.
